Power Outages During Sunday’s Storms Left More Than 16,000 People in the Dark

Power outages during Sunday’s storms were scattered throughout the day in both Mobile and Baldwin Counties.

By 6 p.m., there were six outages in Baldwin County with 148 people affected across the system.

In Mobile County, there were 126 outages and 16,300 people were affected.

Strong winds whipped across our area for most of Sunday bringing down some trees and a few utility lines.

Baldwin EMC said that in Baldwin County, there were two outages and that 40 people were affected.

Those numbers fluctuated throughout the day and may increase during the overnight hours.
