Porch Creek Indians Donates New Blood Mobile Bus to the American Red Cross

ATMORE Ala. The Porch Creek Indians has donated a brand new mobile blood donation unit to the American Red Cross Alabama and Mississippi Region. will roll out its newest mobile blood
The new bloodmobile was officially unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community blood drive at Wind Creek Casino & Hotel, 303 Poarch Road, Atmore, on Friday, June 20th, 2025. The event was held in partnership with the Poarch Creek Indians.
“The addition of this new bloodmobile will help us reach more communities, donors and events across Alabama and Mississippi,” said Kelly Hodges, executive director of the Red Cross South Alabama Chapter. “We’re deeply grateful to the Poarch Creek Indians for their continued support of our mission.” This generous gift is really going to help us in so many ways.
As a thank-you to those who donated, they received a complimentary Market buffet voucher from Wind Creek Atmore and a $15 gift card via email, courtesy of Amazon.
The new bus, outfitted with the latest technology and equipment, will enable the Red Cross to host mobile blood drives more efficiently, especially in rural or underserved areas.
“This is more than just a donation, it’s a commitment to the health and well-being of our neighbors,” said Stephanie Bryan, Tribal Chair and CEO of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. “We’re proud to support the Red Cross by funding this new bloodmobile and to celebrate its unveiling here at Wind Creek Atmore.”
