Police Charge Suspect in Felony Pet Food Theft

MOBILE, AL. On Friday, February 6, 2026, officers responded to 5228 Halls Mill Road (Hill’s Pet Nutrition) in reference to a male subject stealing products from the business.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the subject removed approximately $20,000 worth of pet food from an unlocked truck.
Mobile police conducted a further investigation and found a person selling the stolen pet food on Facebook Marketplace.
Through the course of the officer’s investigation, the subject was identified, and on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, Freddrick Lee, Jr., 37, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
Lee has been charged with a felony, “RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY 1ST DEGREE”.
