Person Acting Erratically Taken Off Shrimping Vessel

FORT MORGAN, Ala.

Emergency responders were called to a shrimp boat after the captain reported that a worker on board was acting erratically and was making no sense.

The captain asked for the Coast Guard to come and take him off board because he needed help.

The Fort Morgan Fire Department and an ambulance were dispatched to the Fort Morgan marina while the U.S. Coast Guard dispatched a vessel out to meet the shrimper.

The USCG took the person with them.

That person was eventually transported to land where he was transported to an area hospital.

This was a medical event and there were no criminal charges.
