Pedestrian Killed on Interstate 65 in Conecuh County

CONECUH COUNTY, Ala. A pedestrian has been killed on Interstate 65 in Conecuh County and an investigation is underway.
According to ALEA, a teenager died in the crash that happened Sunday, September 13, 2026, just before 9:30 p.m. near the 100-mile marker in Conecuh County.
Ke’maurion Porter, 18, of Evergreen, had been involved in a crash with another vehicle. Following the crash, he was attempting to cross the road when he was hit by a tractor-trailer.
Porter was taken to Evergreen Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
ALEA did not report if the truck driver was injured but the incident is being investigated by the Conecuh County Coroner’s Office and ALEA.
