Orange Beach Woman Dies in Wreck Near Foley

FOLEY Ala. A wreck near Foley has taken the life of an Orange Beach woman according to ALEA.
At approximately 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, the Baldwin County 911 Communications Center received several 911 calls about a bad accident at County Road 20 South and South Hickory Street.
Firefighters, police, and EMS rushed to the scene and found that one person was trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters worked to free the person and there was a second vehicle that was involved in the wreck.
Sadly, the wreck has taken the life of an Orange Beach woman. Margie J. Roach, 71, was critically injured when the 2002 Chevrolet S10 she was driving struck the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Joanna L. Favela, 50, of Silverhill.
Roach was transported to South Baldwin Hospital in Foley for treatment where she succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.
ALEA troopers responded and conducted an accident investigation of the crash.
There’s no word on the condition of the other person involved in the wreck.
