One Person Killed in Airport Blvd. Wreck

A motor vehicle accident on Airport Boulevard Saturday afternoon left one person dead according to police.

Police said that the crash was on eastbound Airport Boulevard near Azalea Road.

Mobile police said that there were two males in the vehicle and that the passenger died from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle only sustained minor injuries according to the police report.

Police said that their investigation showed that the driver was driving at a high rate of speed when the vehicle crashed into a tree.

At this time, the name of the deceased man has not been released.
