No Injuries Reported After Car Crashes Into Dollar General Store

A woman who was momentarily confused, pushed on the gas pedal instead of the brake and went through the plate glass window of a Dollar General Store on Dauphin Island Parkway.

According to police, the woman driving the car pulled in front of the store in a parking spot and thought she put her car in park but instead rocketed toward the store and through the building.

Emergency personnel including the Mobile Fire-Rescue and EMS along with Mobile Police Officers responded to the wreck in the Gulfdale Plaza, at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officials said there were customers inside the store but no one was injured, including the woman driving the car.

Police said that they are investigating the matter.
