Multiple Fire Departments Battled Blaze That Destroyed Home

The Baldwin County 911 Center began receiving urgent calls about a house fire Friday night and dispatched numerous fire departments to the Walnut Acres Lane address.

Arriving firefighters were met with heavy flames and smoke coming from the double-wide home.

The occupants were able to escape the house just as firefighters arrived.

The Magnolia Springs, Barnwell, Summerdale, Marlow, and Fairhope fire departments all assisted in bringing the blaze under control.

Additional fire department tanker trucks had to be called in to shuttle water to the fire.

There were no reported injuries.

The structure was heavily damaged in the fire which is currently under investigation.
