More Than 215,000 Attend Monday’s Parades in Mobile

Mardi Gras parades rolled through Mobile literally, day, noon and night with thousands of people enjoying all of the activities.
The Mobile Police Department reports the following totals for Monday’s parades:
Morning parades (King Felix III, Floral Parade) – 25,350 people in attendance.
While there were no major incidents during the parade, police did make 2 misdemeanor arrests, and 19 vehicles were towed.
A much bigger crowd was in attendance for the afternoon parades (MLK Business and Civic, Monday Mystics, Northside Merchants), police estimated that 114,576 people were in attendance.
Police were also involved in searching for 3 lost children, and all were found to be safe.
During the afternoon parades police also made 4 misdemeanor arrests, and 1 felony arrest.
Only 4 vehicles were reportedly towed.
The nighttime parades (Infant Mystics, Order of Doves) saw approximately 75,356 people in attendance, and police made only one 1 misdemeanor arrest was made and 6 vehicles were towed.
There were no major incidents or disturbances during any of the parades that were held on Monday.
Eight people were arrested, and 29 vehicles were towed.
