Mobile Police Officer Crashes During Pursuit

MOBILE, AL. A police pursuit through the streets of Mobile ended with the crash of a police vehicle.
According to the Mobile Police Department, the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Cottage Hill and Hillcrest roads as the officer was attempting to stop a vehicle and the driver continued fleeing.
According to MPD, the officer was not injured, but someone from the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said that the driver, who they did not identify, is facing numerous criminal charges.
The crash is under investigation at this time.
