Mobile Police Deploy Stop Sticks During Pursuit

MOBILE, Ala. On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at approximately 3:02 a.m., officers patrolling the area of Airport Boulevard and University Boulevard observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.
Officers initiated a traffic stop, but the driver, later identified as Jarvis Reaser, 34, ignored the officer’s audible sirens and visual emergency blue lights and continued fleeing at a high rate of speed.
At that time, officers were authorized to deploy “stop sticks”, which caused the vehicle’s tires to deflate, and the subject’s vehicle slowed down and eventually stopped.
Reaser, 34, was taken into custody and arrested for felony attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.
