Mobile Police Charge Three People in Recent Homicide

MOBILE, AL. On Monday, March 2, 2026, at approximately 11:18 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Valdez Drive and Skipper Drive in reference to a shooting.
When police arrived at the area, officers discovered a male victim deceased in the roadway. It was discovered he was shot while walking.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered at least two male subjects were walking in the area at the time of the shooting and immediately left the area on foot.
Mobile police were able to locate a juvenile male subject believed to have been involved in the shooting.
He was arrested Monday, and additional arrests are likely as the investigation continues.
Officers identified the victim as Laterrius Bailey, 25.
