Mobile Police Car Crashes Into Houses & Vehicle

A Mobile police officer lost control of his patrol vehicle Thursday morning and crashed into several houses.
The patrol car hit the two properties at the corner of St. Stephens Road and Lexington Avenue according to a spokesperson for the department.
The police vehicle hit the porch of one home and hit another vehicle and the driver was injured and transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The officer was reportedly not injured in the crash.
Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
Mobile police have not stated if the officer was chasing another vehicle or why he lost control of his patrol vehicle.
