Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Concludes 3-Month Drug Enforcement Operation

MOBILE, AL. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office recently announced that they have concluded a Three-Month Narcotics Operation With
Hundreds of Charges, Major Seizures, and 142 Arrests.

The three-month, countywide narcotics enforcement operation targeted drug trafficking, distribution networks, and associated criminal activity. Spanning a total of 219 individual cases, this intensive operation reflects the Sheriff’s Office’s continued commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of our community.

Over the course of the operation, deputies and investigators secured 259 felony charges, including:
• 91 charges – Possession of a Controlled Substance
• 30 charges – Marijuana 1st Degree
• 70 charges – Trafficking of Illegal Narcotics
• 49 charges – Distribution of Illegal Narcotics

Additionally, investigators obtained 196 misdemeanor charges, executed 39 search warrants, and cleared 39 active warrants during the enforcement effort.

The operation also led to significant seizures, removing dangerous drugs and weapons from circulation:
• 344 pounds of marijuana
• 2.5 pounds of synthetic marijuana “Spice”
• 568 pounds of powder cocaine
• 5 pounds of methamphetamine
• 941 grams of fentanyl (approximately 10,000 pills)
• 384 bottles of Promethazine and Codeine syrup
• 198 firearms
• $52,100 in illicit U.S. currency
• Two vehicles used in criminal activity

In total, deputies made 142 arrests, secured 391 signed warrants, and addressed 42 criminal complaints linked to narcotics trafficking and related offenses.

This operation reflects the intensive, coordinated efforts of patrol units, investigators, specialized teams, and partner agencies. These outcomes contribute directly to community safety by disrupting drug trafficking operations, reducing the availability of dangerous substances, and removing illegally possessed firearms from the streets.

The Sheriff’s Office said that they remain committed to proactive enforcement strategies that aim to dismantle criminal networks and ensure a safer environment for all residents.
