Mobile County Deputies Captures Wanted Shooting Suspect

MOBILE, Ala.
A person wanted by the Mobile Police Department for a shooting that occurred during the Joe Cain Day shooting on Dauphin Street, on February 15th, 2026 has been arrested the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department.
MCSO investigators were able to locate and arrest DEVON DEANGELOS JEFFERY following a traffic stop at Snow and Moffett Road on Tuesday, February 25, 2026. The arrest was conducted without incident.
Police said that Jeffrey currently has five warrants for Assault 1st Degree.
The suspect was transported to the Mobile Metro Jail where the Mobile Police Department has now taken over the case.
This investigation is still ongoing, and no additional information will be released at this time.
