MOBILE Ala. An illegal immigrant already wanted on a deportation order has now been arrested for burglary and sexual misconduct.
On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at approximately 9:33 a.m., deputies with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Grady Dunn Rd. W. in response to a reported burglary and sexual assault.
911 calls reported that someone had illegally entered a residence and was assaulting a female.
Upon arrival, deputies located a man outside the residence, near a heavy equipment transport vehicle. The man was detained, searched, and placed in a patrol vehicle.
The victim stated that her boyfriend, who repairs heavy equipment at their residence, had informed her that a man would be dropping off a trailer that morning.
The female occupant, who was not identified, said that at around 9:00 a.m., the male, later identified as Elmer Amado, arrived at their gate. The victim allowed him in and directed him to park the trailer. After parking, Amador immediately approached the victim, reached down her V-neck shirt, and sexually assaulted her. When the victim attempted to flee, Amador grabbed her again. The victim then ran inside her residence, locked herself in the bathroom, and called 911. According to the victim, Amador continued to pursue her and attempted to unlock the bathroom door.
Amador was transported to a sheriff’s substation for an interview. After the interview, Deputies charged Amador with Burglary 3rd Degree and Sexual Misconduct.
Amador was also found to be in possession of $9,445.00 in cash.
