Major Fairhope Fire Battled by Multiple Fire Departments

FAIRHOPE, Ala. Firefighters from multiple fire departments were necessary to battle a large working fire on January 28, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m.
What was originally reported as a garage fire, quickly grew to a much larger fire with the garage and home ablaze.
The Fairhope Fire Department, Daphne Fire Department, Silverhill Fire Department and firefighters from Barnwell were immediately called in for mutual aid.
The Magnolia Springs VFD was also requested to cover the Fairhope area in case of more emergency calls.
Firefighters spent hours on scene battling the flames in the chilly night.
Fairhope Fire reported that the fire was out just before 1 a.m. and that there were no reported injuries.
MedStar EMS and Fairhope police were also at the fire scene for the duration of the incident.
