RABUN, Ala. Calls to 911 reported that there was a vehicle on fire northbound on Interstate 65, between mile-markers 40 and 41 and the Baldwin County Communications Center dispatched the Rabun Volunteer Fire Department to the scene.
However, moments later, at around 8:47 a.m., several more callers to 911 reported that the vehicle was a commercial, 18-wheeler that was on fire.

Traffic began to back up as Interstate-65 was temporarily shut down so that firefighters could extinguish the fire.
It took firefighters approximately two hours to extinguish the fire and troopers opened the roadway back up.
There were no reported injuries.
