Gunshot Fired Inside Montgomery Aiport-1 Arrested

An incident at the Montgomery Regional Airport involving a gun has ended with the arrest of one person, police reported.
According to the authorities, the incident occurred early Saturday morning at a closed TSA Security Checkpoint and involved one person.
One person is in custody following gunshots inside the airport.
Details are limited, but officials say a glass window was damaged by a single gunshot fired by an unidentified person who is now in custody.
Officials say airport police and personnel responded quickly and no injuries occurred.
Normal operations resumed at 4 a.m. and there is no ongoing threat to passengers, staff or to the public. Officials say the TSA checkpoint is fully operational.
“We are grateful for the swift response from our local law enforcement, which ensured the safety of everyone at the airport,” said Wade A. Davis, C.M. MGM Executive Director. “We are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all passengers.”
Montgomery Regional Airport says it is working closely with law enforcement agencies as the investigation continues.
