Gulf Shores Police Forms New “Aviation Unit”

GULF SHORES Ala. The Gulf Shores Police have formed a new division to protect the Gulf Shores International Airport.
The new “Aviation Police Division will focus on protecting the airport, planes, and people.
With Jack Edwards International Airport now welcoming commercial airline traffic through its partnership with Allegiant Airlines, the newly established Airport Unit is working hard to ensure the security and safety of all travelers.
This dedicated team is comprised of: FTO James “JJ” Johnston – A 30-year law enforcement veteran, and Officer Brad Shelton – A 32-year law enforcement veteran.
Together they are focused on creating a safe and secure airport.
