Friday Night Pursuit Lands Teen in Jail

BALDWIN COUNTY Ala. An Alabama State Trooper on routine patrol Friday night, May 23rd, 2025, spotted a vehicle that was traveling at more than 110 miles per hour.

The trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the driver kept fleeing until he was forced to slow down, and the trooper took the driver, identified as Ian Avery Gibson.

The driver was stopped and taken into custody.

ALEA has reported that the driver has been charged with reckless endangerment, alcohol possession by a minor, and attempting to elude law enforcement.

Gibson was taken to the Mobile County Metro Jail where he remains at this time.
