DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. Multiple emergency agencies were involved in the rescue of four people from a burning boat that was fifty miles off the coast of Dauphin Island.
An emergency call was sent out from a 90-foot fishing vessel in the dark of night asking for help as the boat burned.
The United States Coast Guard launched a helicopter that was able to spot the boat with heavy fire and began airlifting the crew off the boat.
The people were taken to the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Training Center.
The boat continued to burn as the rescue was underway.
No one was injured, officials said.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
