BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. A Baptist pastor who had served a Loxley church for almost ten years is now headed for prison after being found guilty of possessing child pornography.
Allan Kyle Jones, 50, was arrested by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office in August 2023 on multiple charges after explicit images of minors were found on his phone, according to officials.
BCSO investigators had received a cyber tip from a company that monitors illegal online activity, prompting the investigation.
Investigators were able to obtain a search warrant and subsequently arrested Jones after finding the images.
Jones pleaded guilty to one of the charges and received a 10-year sentence, but he’ll only serve six months in jail and be on probation for three years.
The court also included fines and court costs in his sentencing.
