Five People Rescued in Lillian After Boating Accident

A boater in distress was noticed by several people who were on shore, and they notified 911 at around 2:53 p.m.
Another person also reported seeing a flare gun being fired in the area.

Emergency personnel responded to the area of 10446 Beaulieu Ln where multiple people were seen in the water and a vessel was seen overturned.

The Orange Beach Fire Vessel and the Marine police were requested to respond to assist in the rescue.

Multiple people were seen treading water and had been in the water for quite a while.

With a joint effort between the Lillian Fire Department and the other responding agencies, five people were rescued from the water and all of them were transported to an area hospital.

There were no serious injuries reported.
