Firefighters Rescue Stranded Campers-Locate Missing Boat

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. Several overnight campers woke up Tuesday morning ready to pack up and head home after spending time on the Tensaw River, but they had an unexpected delay.

It seems that while they were sleeping, the current took the campers boat for a little ride down the river and left the campers stranded.

911 dispatchers received a call from the stranded people and dispatched the Whitehouse Fork and Crossroad Volunteer Fire Departments who responded with a boat and rescued them and then helped to locate the missing boat.

No one was injured and thanks to cellphone technology and community volunteer fire firefighters, the campers trip ended well.
