Family Heritage Day Coming to Spanish Fort

SPANISH FORT, Ala. A unique historical event is coming to Spanish Fort.

According to the announcement, the Raphael Semmes Camp 11, Sons of Confederate Veterans is set to host and sponsor the annual Family Heritage Day at the Fort McDermott Confederate Memorial Park, located at 120 Spanish Main in Spanish Fort.

This event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Family Heritage Day will include music, period uniforms, weapons, and a military campsite, as well as free red beans and rice as long as it lasts.
