Fairhope Police Charge Teenager With Possessing Child Pornography 

FAIRHOPE, Ala.

The Fairhope police department arrested a 17-year-old Monday afternoon and charged that person with possession of child pornography.

Fairhope police said the investigation began after the department received three separate cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

After a month and a half of investigations, a residential search was performed to cease electronics and the arrest was made, according to officials.

The teenager was taken to the Baldwin County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

The Department of Homeland Security and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office assisted FPD in the investigation.
