Fairhope Kicks Off Christmas Season With Thursday Tree Lighting Ceremony

FAIRHOPE, Ala.
It’s almost that time of year again! Fairhope’s holiday season officially begins with the Annual Lighting of the Trees on Thursday, November 20th, and we can’t wait to welcome the community downtown for one of our most beloved traditions.
Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m., leading up to the moment everyone looks forward to — at 6:00 p.m., thousands of white lights will illuminate Fairhope’s iconic trees, filling downtown with holiday magic, cheer, and the warmth of the season.
Each year, this celebration brings neighbors and families together, and it continues to be an unforgettable way to kick off the holidays in Fairhope.
This season, we’re also proud to partner with Ecumenical Ministries through our “Powering More Than Lights” effort. Throughout the holidays, the community is invited to donate non-perishable food items at the Welcome Center, the James P. Nix Senior Center, or City Hall. Residents can also support neighbors in need by contributing to the Utility Bill Relief Fund through their Fairhope Public Utilities bill — helping local families keep their lights on and homes warm.
