Driver Shoots Himself in the Head During Traffic Stop in Pensacola
PENSACOLA, Fla. An unusual situation occurred while police were conducting a traffic stop on Tuesday. The driver shot himself in the head according to Pensacola Police.
Police said that the driver was pulled over around 4:15 p.m. on I and Cervantes Street for having an expired tag.
As the police officer was approaching the truck, he pointed a gun to his head and fired the gun.
Police closed Cervantes Street after the incident and the driver was transported to the hospital in the police patrol car but he died from his injuries.
Cervantes Street was reopened shortly after the incident.
Police are still investigating.
