Driver in Stolen Car Leads Police on Pursuit Before Crashing Into Tree

MOBILE, AL. At approximately 11:35 a.m., on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, officers responded to the 3800 block of Isabel Way in reference to a stolen vehicle.
The owner stated that an unknown male subject entered the vehicle and drove away with the vehicle.
While police were on patrol Tuesday afternoon, they observed the vehicle, and officers tried stopping it at Lansdowne Drive and Government Boulevard and officers attempted to stop the vehicle but he refused to pull over and fled from officers.
Officers continued in pursuit of the stolen vehicle, which came to an end when the driver crashed into a tree on private property in the 4100 block of Government Boulevard.
Police were able to take the suspect into custody at that point.
Romane Proctor, 24, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail. This remains an active investigation.
