Driver Charged With Felony After Mobile Police Pursuit

MOBILE, Ala. Police officers patrolling an area of Airport Boulevard spotted a moving violation and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Friday, February 27, 2026, at approximately 1:05 p.m.
The police officer activated his blue lights and siren at Airport Boulevard and University Boulevard, but the driver refused to stop.
Police said that the driver, later identified as Bruson Perkins, 21, sped up and tried evading law enforcement.
Perkins bailed from his vehicle in the 200 block of Suzanne Circle causing it to continue rolling before it struck a home.
Police engaged in a foot pursuit and captured Perkins in the 200 block of Lakewood Drive W. without incident, and he was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
He has been charged with “ATTEMPT TO ELUDE”-FELONY”.
