Domestic Violence Incident Ends in Shooting

MOBILE, AL. Police were called to an area of the city after someone reported hearing gunshots.
Multiple police officers were dispatched on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at approximately 4:47 p.m., to the 900 block of Downtowner Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers found a scene where there had been a shooting, but there was no victim.
Officers soon learned that the victim was taken by a personal vehicle to a local hospital.
Police later found that she had a minor gunshot injury.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered a known male subject shot the victim during a domestic incident. Henry Stephenson, 26, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
