Citronelle Police Officer Dies in Wreck

CITRONELLE, AL. A Citronelle Police Department was involved in a fatal wreck on Thursday afternoon.

According to law enforcement, the officer, Dylan Chase Owen, 26, died after his vehicle left the road and hit a tree Thursday afternoon.

Emergency responders from the fire department and EMS responded to the scene at Mobile Street North near Laird Drive.

Police said that the officer had succumbed to his injuries.

The police chief stated that the officer was on duty at the time of the wreck.

The fatal wreck is under investigation.
