Chickasaw Man Arrested After Eluding Police

A man trying to elude Mobile police officers has been arrested and charged with drug and paraphernalia possession, attempting to elude law enforcement, and resisting arrest.

Police on Friday witnessed a speeding vehicle on Wolf Ridge Road and attempted to stop the vehicle but it fled from officers even though police had activated their emergency equipment and signaled the driver to pull over.

Fields allegedly jumped from the moving vehicle on Dial Street in Prichard after a short chase. The vehicle continued rolling before hitting a tree, according to the release.

Keyvon Fields, 33, was charged with a felony attempt to elude, two felony probation violations, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana in the second degree, and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fields is currently locked up in the Mobile County Metro Jail.
