MOBILE, Ala.
A man suspected of child sex crimes against multiple victims was arrested in Alabama and extradited to Sacramento County, the sheriff’s office said on Thursday.
The investigation into Christopher Brinson began in May 2024 when a social worker said a teenage patient said she was abused by a family member when she was between the ages of 6 and 10, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said.
Brinson was arrested on Dec. 9, 2025, and is now being held without bail on 23 felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under age 14.
The sheriff’s office said the abuse started more than 30 years ago and detectives believe there could be more victims.
Beyond Sacramento County, Brinson has lived in Visalia, Stockton and Farmersville, the sheriff’s office said. He’s also lived in Billings, Montana, and Mobile, Alabama.
Anyone with information about possible victims is urged to contact the sheriff’s child abuse bureau at 916-874-5191 or childabuse@sacsheriff.com.
