MOBILE, AL. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has announced that they have recovered the bodies of the missing Choc family.
The bodies of the mother and her two children were found in a Balwin County field according to Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch in a press conference Thursday morning.
The exact location where the bodies were found in a Baldwin County was not revealed.
Aurelia Choc Cac, 40, and her two children, Niurka Zuleta Choc, 17, and Anthony Garcia Choc, 2, were missing in January after they were last seen at their home in Theodore.
Local, state and federal law enforcement have been working on the theory that they were kidnapped and had made several related arrests last month.
Hector Gamaliel Argueta-Guerra, 27, was charged weeks ago with kidnapping in the family’s disappearance and has been held in jail since.
Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood announced at the press conference that Argueta-Guerra will now face three counts of murder as well as additional charges and that he will seek the death penalty for both of the suspects.
