Big Rig Crash on I-10 Sends More Than 100 Gallons of Fuel Onto Interstate

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. An eighteen-wheeler truck on Interstate 10 Westbound collided with a guardrail, and it split one of the fuel tanks near mile marker 44.
Authorities originally dispatched the Rosinton Fire Department, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, an ALEA state trooper, and other emergency personnel to the scene at around 5 a.m. on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, near mile marker 59, but further 911 calls put the wreck further west.
In a short amount of time, more than 100 gallons had spilled out on the Interstate, according to law enforcement.
The Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency was also notified of the situation.
A Hazmat Unit was also dispatched to the scene at 5:15 a.m.
ALEA troopers conducted their investigation, and no injuries were reported.
