Baldwin County Schools Participating in International Walk to School Day
BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala.
A get-out and walk day celebrated in many communities will also include Baldwin County and some other area schools.
The International Walk and Roll to School Day is being held this year on October 2nd and helps to get people back to walking, learning, and enjoying their communities and driving less.
This year many Baldwin County schools will be participating in the International Walk and Roll to School Day including:
Daphne Elementary
Daphne East Elementary
Bay Minette Elementary
Summerdale School
Florence B. Mathis Elementary
Fairhope West Elementary
Fairhope East Elementary
Orange Beach Elementary
Gulf Shores City Schools
St. Patrick Catholic School
Each school will have its own start time and location.
The Baldwin County Safe Routes to School Coalition is leading the effort to explore a healthier and more connected community. The coalition includes the Baldwin County Trailblazers, the Eastern Shore Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Baldwin County Commission, the Legislative Delegation, education foundations, and all three public school systems.
