Baldwin County Police Make 2 Dozen Felony Drug Arrests

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. Almost daily, Baldwin County police make drug arrests, many are felonies.
Drug use is up nationwide, especially Methamphetamine (meth) which is a powerful, highly addictive synthetic stimulant that affects the central nervous system.
Police are also seeing more “synthetic” drug use. These drugs are often made right at home.
Synthetic drugs are man-made, lab-produced psychoactive substances designed to mimic illegal drugs (like cannabis, ecstasy, or LSD) while evading legal restrictions. Marketed under names like “Spice,” “K2,” and “bath salts,” these compounds are highly unpredictable, often more potent than the drugs they mimic, and pose severe health risks, including addiction, psychosis, and death.
In the last ten days, police officers in Baldwin County have arrested more than twenty people who are charged felony drug use, sales and possession.
These arrests do not include misdemeanor arrests or drug arrests where a misdemeanor criminal citation may have been issued.
ALANA LEIGH BENTLEY, 31, was arrested by Baldwin County sheriff deputies and charged with Drug Trafficking.
QUA’MIKAL MALIK BRADLEY, 28, was also arrested by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office deputies and charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime, Possession of Imitation Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
TERELL L CARGILL, 40, was arrested by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office after a police pursuit and charged with Drug Trafficking, Obstructing Police- Attempting to Elude Police, Reckless Endangerment.
DYLAN MICHAEL CARTER, 27, was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs by deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
DANIEL RESHAWN CURTIS, 39, has been arrested and charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs.
MARK SEAN GUFFEY, 56, was arrested by Bay Minnette Police during a domestic violence incident and charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs, Dangerous Drugs-IPOPD Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs, and Domestic Violence Third Degree- previous Conviction of Felony Domestic.
EMERSON REID HARDY, 25, was arrested by deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs, Felony Drug Possession and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
NICHOLAS WARD HOLDER, 41, has been arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Violation of Probation.
TRENTON DEMAQUIES JENKINS, 21, has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime, Possession of Imitation Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
TOBIAS SIMS KELLEY, 48, was arrested by officers with the Fairhope Police Department and he has been charged with two counts of Possession Of Dangerous Drugs, and Drug Paraphernalia.
AMANDA MARIE KIRCHHARR, 54, has been charged with Distribution of Dangerous Drugs. The arrest was made by Baldwin County sheriff deputies.
MAURICIO ARTEAGA LOPEZ, 30, was arrested by an Alabama State Trooper after a pursuit. He faces charges of Obstructing Police- Attempting to Elude Police, Possession Of Dangerous Drugs and Taking Drugs into a Correctional Facility.
CHERYL BERNICE BYRD, 43, was arrested by Baldwin County sheriff deputies and charged with Methamphetamine Possession, Resisting Arrest and Promoting Drugs into a Correctional Facility.
JAMES STEVEN FRANKLIN,58, has been arrested by Foley police officers and charged with Possession of Synthetic Narcotics.
CALANDRA DAYMARA GILLIS, 44, was arrested by deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree and Promoting Prison Contraband (Drugs).
CHARLES ARTHUR GARDNER, 34, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.
ISRAEL GOVANNI GUILLEN, 33, was arrested by deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Assault, Child Endangerment-Chemical.
KELLY CORTEZ GRAYSON, 48, was arrested by Gulf Shores Police and charged with Possession Of Dangerous Drugs and Possession of Marijuana.
According to jail records, a dozen of those arrested remain in the Baldwin County Detention Center while the remainder have been released on bond with a court appearance date.
Drugs have regularly flowed into Baldwin County for many years via Interstate 10 and I-65.
Drug investigators have told us previously that a drug pipeline from Mexico is also fueling the available of drugs in mobile and Baldwin Counties.
