Atmore Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting

ATMORE, Ala. One person has been shot, and the Atmore Police Department is investigating.

Atmore police were dispatched to the Atmore Community Hospital at around 2 a.m., Tuesday morning after a person with a gunshot wound came into the emergency room.

Police reported that preliminary information indicates the shooting occurred in or near the Brown Street area of Atmore.

Investigators with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division, Narcotics/Vice Division and Crime Scene Unit also responded and began an investigation into the shooting.

Investigators said that they are actively investigating this incident.

No additional information can be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation, police said.
