ALEA Conducting Speed Enforcement in School Zones

ALEA troopers have been seen during the morning hours before school begins conducting traffic enforcement in the rural parts of Baldwin and Mobile County.

Troopers did pull several vehicles over in the school zones on Tuesday, though it is not known how many vehicles were stopped.

In Alabama, the speed limit in school zones is typically 15 miles per hour when children are present or during designated school hours. This includes both public and private schools.

We have asked ALEA for more information and if troopers are conducting a special traffic campaign in these school zones.
