In what seems to be an ongoing problem for the Alabama Department of Corrections, another employee has been arrested.
Sabrina Taylor, an employee of the Alabama Department of Corrections at the Holman Prison in Atmore, has been arrested and charged with having “an intimate and ongoing sexual relationship” with an inmate in the prison.
Taylor is also accused of using her office for personal gain, custodial sexual conduct, promoting prison contraband and inmate possessing cellphone, according to the criminal complaint.
State authorities stated that Taylor is accused of having a sexual relationship with the unnamed inmate beginning in February 2025. She is also accused of possessing a cellphone that the inmate provided to her to communicate with the inmate.
In the past two years, at least six contracted security officers and direct employees of the ADOC have been arrested for crimes committed at state correctional facilities.
Taylor was given a bond of $50,000 on the charges. Her court date has not been announced.
