A Huntsville realtor who was kidnapped and held for ransom in December 2024, sounds like a movie plot but in fact, it was a horrific, violent act that had multiple law enforcement agencies involved in searching for the realtor and his captors.
It all began after Huntsville realtor Ronald Dumas Jr., was last seen at a liquor store on University Drive in Huntsville and a police report was filed.
Local and federal police agencies began working together developing information that turned a missing person’s report into a kidnapping.
According to the Huntsville Police Department, the case was upgraded to a missing and endangered person alert on February 7 based on evidence suggesting Dumas had been abducted and was in danger of serious harm or death.
Authorities have now arrested five individuals in connection with the kidnapping, while three additional suspects remain at large. All of the eight involved now face multiple felony charges.
On April 8, two key suspects—32-year-old Quintarius Shikelion White and 27-year-old Kierra Symone Clark—were arrested in Memphis, Tennessee. According to law enforcement, the arrests were carried out by a joint task force that included the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Memphis Police Department Fugitive Unit, and the Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team. Both suspects are being held without bond in the Shelby County Jail and are awaiting extradition to Madison County.
Three additional individuals—26-year-old Dedrick Woodard, 43-year-old Cassy Feathers, and 28-year-old Jasmine Braden—were arrested at the Memphis residence where White and Clark were taken into custody. Authorities say the three are charged with being an accessory after the fact for harboring the suspects.
White faces multiple felony charges, including especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, robbery, trafficking for a commercial sex act, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and aggravated assault acting in concert. Clark is charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, trafficking for a commercial sex act, assault causing bodily harm, and aggravated assault acting in concert.
According to court records, White and Clark were previously charged in a 2023 Memphis case involving the kidnapping of a mother and her child, during which the mother was allegedly forced into sex trafficking. Both were indicted in February 2024 on related charges, including kidnapping, trafficking, and assault.
The other three that are still wanted includes 33-year-old Toure Laron McLaurin of Memphis and 27-year-old Sabrina Rochelle Chambers of Huntsville, who are both wanted for first-degree kidnapping, and 33-year-old Carissa Cash of Memphis, wanted for first-degree receiving stolen property. McLaurin also has a prior criminal history, including a 2016 arrest in Shelby County on charges of kidnapping and robbery, according to police records.
According to federal law enforcement, Dumas is still missing, and it is unknown if he is alive.
