ALEA Is Investigating a Pedestrian Wreck

A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, has injured a Foley man according to ALEA.
The crash occurred on County Road 26 near Grantham Road.
A person driving by notified 911 that a man was down on the side of the road and the Foley police and fire departments were dispatched along with Medstar.
The pedestrian, Michael L. Vanalstine, 50, was critically injured while walking in the roadway after being struck by the 2011 Kia Soul driven by Kiley D. Biggs, 47, of Foley.
Vanalstine was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. for treatment.
This crash is currently being investigated by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division.
