MOBILE, Ala. Two men involved in a prostitution ring and arrested have now pleaded guilty to multiple charges.
On Thursday, a Baldwin County man pleaded guilty in federal court to helping run an interstate prostitution ring and to illegally possessing a firearm while he was in the U.S. illegally, according to prosecutors.
Felix Albino Lopez-Acahua admitted that he and his co-defendant handed out business cards at Baldwin County construction sites. The cards were written in Spanish and advertised a food service, authorities said. But the food service was actually code for arranging meetings with prostitutes.
Lopez-Acahua also admitted driving women from Georgia to meet clients along the Gulf Coast and then taking them home.
Felix Lopez-Acahua is scheduled to be sentenced in January and faces more than ten years in a federal prison.
Co-defendant Obeth Quiahua Acahua previously pleaded guilty.
