FAIRHOPE, Ala. While many were hunkered down inside their homes while Hurricane Isaias was bearing down on Baldwin County, one man decided that it would be a good time to break into an area store and steal a few things.
Fairhope police said that they were called to the Dollar General store on Twin Beech Road.
Besides the damage to the store, police said that about $60 worth of goods was taken, including two cases of beer, one case of soda and a travel mug.
Police have arrested Matthew Richardson for first-degree burglary, a felony charge that could send him to prison.
Richardson is currently being held at the Baldwin County Corrections Center.
