Female Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle

MOBILE, AL. A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 9:55 p.m. Saturday, Sep. 19, 2026, has claimed the life of an Eight-Mile woman.

The pedestrian, Alisia A. Burgans, 59, who was walking in the roadway, was fatally injured when she was struck by the 2018 Toyota Corolla driven by Latonya A. Jones, 68, of Satsuma.

Burgans was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Bear Fork Road near Meyers Road, within the city limits of Prichard, in Mobile County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
