Car and Golf Cart Collide in Lillian Leaving One Person Injured

LILLIAN, Ala. A two-vehicle wreck late Tuesday night in Lillian left one person seriously injured, and state troopers are investigating the collision.
Authorities said that a driver crashed into a golf cart at Camino Real Loop and Spanish Cove Drive. The vehicle knocked the golf cart over and was partially on top of it.
Several people assisted getting the injured person out of the golf cart while the Lillian and Perdido Beach Fire Departments, Medstar and an ALEA trooper rushed to the scene.
A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the area to transport the injured person, said to be a 60-year-old male, to a trauma center in Pensacola.
At this time we are awaiting an update on the person’s injuries and a report from troopers on the traffic collision.
