Attempted Suicide Averted in Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES, Ala. A report of a suicidal woman at an apartment complex in Gulf Shores on Monday, September 28, 2026, sent a lot of emergency responders to the area.

Authorities received the emergency call at around 5:22 p.m. and police, EMS and the fire department responded to an address on Oak Road West.

The distraught 50-year-old woman attempted or was threatening to hang herself.

Emergency responders aided the woman who was later transported to a medical facility.
